Leadership University Bible Study Methods Begins!

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth (2Timothy 2:15).

Just this morning, I was sitting in coffee shop with a young believer who is hungry for truth. For over two hours he asked me rapid fire questions about tough parts of the Bible. It was a fun challenge to try and answer these questions, but some of them were difficult to say the least.

I would share with him my interpretation of a passage and then he would respond with questions like: Well, I’ve heard other people say that it means this. How can they believe it means one thing and you believe it means something else? Who is right?

The topics ranged from: Politics, Slavery, Tithing, Justification, Sanctification, Using the Bible to Advance Personal Agendas and more!

I’d love to say that I walked away feeling like I aced every question, but there is always room for improvement. What I did walk away with was a greater appreciation for the training I have received over the years in the area of Bible Interpretation. The skills of knowing how to study, interpret, and apply the Bible are some of the most important skills on the planet.

If the Bible is our primary source of authority for how to do life, then we’d better get it right!

This is why we are beginning our BIble Study Methods class this Sunday to teach our church family the ins and outs of interpreting the Bible. If you would like to become “a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth (2Timothy 2:15),” then come join us!

The world is asking tough questions these days! Come learn how to find answers! Sign up here today!

Begins This Sunday October 23, 11:00, Room 206
