Celebrating "Count Me In"

On behalf of the elder board, I am thrilled to report that, as of the latest count, the “Count Me In” pledge total is $166,446! We believe more pledges will come in and welcome them. Because of God’s goodness, and because of your faithfulness, we are sure that God will provide what we need to pay off our mortgage this year. When that happens, we will truly be able to owe love only. We are praising God wildly and celebrating what He has done in and through our congregation!

The elder board and the staff are praising God for His goodness, His faithfulness, and for His provision. We thank God for those of you who faithfully prayed, but were led by God not to take part at this time. We thank God for those of you who faithfully prayed and were led by God to make a new pledge or to extend your old pledge. We thank God in advance for your faithfulness in completing your pledges. And we thank God for His promise of rewards to youfor getting involved in His kingdom building purposes.

I know that some of you made what could be called “risky” pledges – risky in the sense that you aren’t sure where the money will come from. I assure you that because God is good, He will provide (see 2 Corinthians 9:11). And by way of encouragement, I’ll close with a quote from Jim Elliot, a martyred missionary, who said, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.”

Praise God! Celebrate! God is good and does good things for us and through us!

Until the whole world hears,

Glenn Hamilton
