Compassion Ministries

Serving the Fatherless

71% of High School dropouts in the United States come from fatherless homes. Jesus called the children to come to him and we want to support strong foundations in the children with whom we have influence.

Pflugerville School District

Between our fall event, Serve Your Schools, and constantly praying for our teachers & students, there are many ways we partner with and serve our local public school district. The main way you can serve the schools is by mentoring an elementary student for 30 minutes, once a week. The fatherless in our community thrive on an adult providing for them some one-on-one time. You would talk or play cards or do a puzzle or play with play-dough together. The task is small but the reward is huge. HCBCPF has received "Community Partner of the Year" awards from Wieland and Windermere Elementary Schools for the last ten consecutive years.

L.E.A.P. Foster & Adoption

You would love to join this team if you desire to see abandoned children adopted, or if you would like to help parents through the process of becoming certified to foster children who need a temporary, loving home.

Pflugerville Pregnancy Resource Center

Providing resources for unplanned pregnancies and to help moms prepare for a child is the heartbeat of this Christian based center. We partner with them to provide assistance, prayer, and other needs as they come up.

Serving the Elderly

Wells Point Lodge Assisted Living

Each month our volunteers assist the residents in playing BINGO and spend some time talking and listening with them. We provide five holiday parties each year as well.

Serving Those in Need

Servants On Standby (SOS)

Those who desire to help people with handyman tasks would be great for this team. They are called upon when a need from someone in our church arises.

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, 12 step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurt, pain or addiction of any kind. Celebrate Recovery is a safe place to find community and freedom from the hurts, habits, and hangups that are controlling our life.

CR meets at HCBCPF on Fridays at 7:00pm.

Circle of Hope Food Pantry

Circle of Hope is a Community Center in Pflugerville that provides food to anyone in need. Volunteering with them helps provide manpower to serve those in our community who are hungry.

Kairos Prison Ministry

Kairos Prison Ministry serves the Lockhart Correctional Facility of female inmates. There are two main events each year in April and October. Those who serve in this ministry also do letter writing to and from the inmates throughout the year.

Benevolence Team

We want to prayerfully provide for the financial needs of those in our church family and our immediate surrounding community. This is a great ministry to serve with if you have financial planning experience.

If you are a single mom in need of some help, please visit Restoration Blessing's website to apply for assistance.

Serving the Immigrant

Refugee Services of Texas

It's a scary experience to leave the familiarity of home and to arrive in an unfamiliar country. Refugee Services of Texas help assist families upon arrival at the airport to find their first home and learn the lay of the land. We get to be their first loving and gracious impression of Americans.

About Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a recovery program aimed at all “hurts, habits, and hang-ups” including but not exclusive to:  anger, anxiety, co-dependency, eating disorders, compulsive behaviors, PTSD, mental health, sex addiction, financial dysfunction, and drugs and alcohol.  Nationally, approximately two-thirds of the participants are in recovery for something other than drugs and alcohol.  CR is one of the seven largest addiction recovery support programs.  It’s a Christ-centered, Bible-based, 8 principles, 12 step recovery program designed to help people connect with God and others in a fresh, new way and experience healing and hope in a safe place.  By working the steps and applying their biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually and eventually become free from our hurts, habits, and hang-ups.  This freedom creates serenity, peace, joy, and most importantly, a deeper personal relationship with our loving and forgiving Higher Power, Jesus Christ.  Look around you.  Chances are you know someone who could benefit from the power of participation in CELEBRATE RECOVERY.  Perhaps that someone is YOU!  We meet EVERY Friday night, rain or shine, even on holidays, and invite you to join us!

Large Group:  7:00-8:00pm in Room 204.  Large group consists of a time of worship and a lesson or testimony.

Newcomer's 101 and Open-Share Groups:  8:00-9:00pm.  Newcomer’s 101 is a one-time orientation for first time participants to familiarize you with Celebrate Recovery and Open-Share.  We have separate Open-Share groups for men and women.

Cross Talk Café (Fellowship):  9:00-9:30pm in Room 206. This is a relaxed time of fellowship and to look for a sponsor and accountability partners.
