What our Children's Ministry is all about
The Children’s Ministry exists to multiply REAL disciples for the sake of EMWC by teaching and training children to become REAL disciples through partnering with and equipping parents and volunteers.
What to expect on Sundays
The children’s ministry offers an interactive learning environment for your child to build relationships, love Jesus, & participate in the vision to reach every man, woman and child in Pflugerville & surrounding communities with the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ.
The children’s ministry volunteers commit to serving a year at a time. This means your child will see the same face each Sunday and allows the volunteers to build relationships with their class. While in our care, your child will be lead by fully approved volunteers that have passed a multi-point background check.
On your first Sunday, you will want to arrive a few minutes early to register your children at our Check-In kiosk. The security and safety of each child is one of the children’s ministry core values.
Do you offer Children's Ministry both hours?
For 5th graders and above, we offer programs during the 11:00 hour only and encourage families to attend the worship service together during the other service time.
What other stuff is going on?
Vision High is coming up for all Volunteers that are serving in the Children's Ministry!
Vision High is for all Children's Ministry team members. We encourage you to attend every Vision High possible so you can stay up to date on what is happening in Children's Ministry. Vision High is a great time to connect with your individual teams to plan for the upcoming months and get your questions answered. Our next Vision High meeting is Sunday October 20th from 12:30-2pm upstairs in room 206. Adult lunch is $5 and will be provided by Jason's Deli (Gluten Free is an additional $2). For kids in childcare, pizza is available for $2. Childcare is free with advanced registration.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED whether you will be eating with us or not, this helps us get an accurate headcount and make sure we have enough tables and chairs available for everyone. If you have teens that serve in Children's Ministry please make sure to register them as well. You are also welcome to bring your own lunch. Please make sure to register at the link below. Everyone must be registered by Thursday Oct 17th as the catering order is submitted Friday morning. For questions please contact Tami Franklin at firstname.lastname@example.org. Register below. We look forward to seeing you there!
Outside of Sundays, we are beginning to offer periodic family events for families to get to know other families. Some events have been Movie and Pajama night, Date nights, and nights at the park. We are always looking for ideas for the family nights!
