Week 11
In Judges 7:1-8, God directed Gideon and his soldiers through an unusual screening process which reduced his fighting men from 32,000 to only 300 men. The reason: "In order that Israel may not boast against me that her own strength saved her" (7:2). Gideon obeyed God, and with 300 men God gave Gideon and his men the victory over the Midianites. In this passage I learn that God will not share His glory with another. In addition, God wants His people to know that their strength lies in their God, not in their numbers. Read More
