2 Sam 12:7 -Then Nathan said to David, "You are the Man!..." Nathan directly confronted David for his sin. I suspect that apart from God's direct command to do so, Nathan may have chosen to overlook the king's inconsistency and hypocrisy. It took a lot of guts and/or faith to look the king in the eye and call him out like that. Many times obedience is risky and hard. David could very easily had Nathan executed for insubordination. Yet, Nathan fears the LORD more than David and I suspect that gave him courage. Read More
