DIALOG is a Conversational Evangelism course. The class equips students to be able to engage others in spiritual conversations and advance the dialog to the gospel. It is a very practical course that will give you the confidence to reach out to others. This course has many benefits for those interested in sharing their faith and reaching out to their friends and family. DIALOG provides answers to the following: How can I have meaningful conversation with my mom or dad, brother or sister, or husband on the gospel and spiritual topics? How can I avoid arguments and simply have a discussion on spiritual topics with my friends? How can I take ordinary conversations and transition them toward spiritual topics? How can I see the opportunities that come my way? How can I understand where people are coming from? How can I get to know what my friends believe without a debate? How can I share with them the truth and keep them interested? How can I share the gospel so it is understandable and ask for my response? How can I grow in my faith and feel the power of God working through me? What is DIALOG? D - Direct and transition to spiritual topics I - Inquire about background A - Assess core beliefs L - Lead the person to problems with their beliefs O - Offer an answer G - Go to the gospel
The acrostic DIALOG actually describes a process of conversational evangelism. It provides the evangelist an incremental approach to evangelism, taking a person from the very first steps of transitioning conversations, through assessing a person's beliefs, to presenting the gospel. This method is integral to our philosophy of ministry and personal evangelism.
